One Room Challenge: Week Five

It's Week Five of the One Room ChallengeⓇ and last week I was deciding on bedding. I was torn between going BOLD or keeping it neutral.

 I did decide to go BOLD with the drapes. I went with a dark terracotta color. The curtains are giving a rich, vibrant look against the modern stripe beige wallpaper from The Theper Store. They also pair nicely with the wall art for the space. 

I am debating if the rocking chair will stay in the room; it will depend on the amount of space left after the bed is added. The rocking chair won't be moving far if it leaves the guestroom! My mom had one in our home growing up that looked very similar; the same curved design with rattan backing and sit. 

The rocking chair makes me both happy and sad. I am happy that I have similar pieces from my childhood memories in my home, but also sad that my mother is not here to see this next chapter of my life. She definitely is the reason that creativity is my SUPERPOWER.
